Mattamy Homes recently celebrated an exciting milestone with a ribbon cutting at Stars and Stripes Park, offering an early look at one of Tradition’s most anticipated new community spaces.

Situated along the Tradition Trail, Stars and Stripes Park was designed in collaboration with the City of Port St. Lucie and reflects the community’s values of pride, service and unity. The park combines open green space, scenic ponds, themed art installations and educational features to create a meaningful destination for residents of all ages.

At the heart of the park is a striking tribute: a majestic waving flag surrounded by massive, illuminated star sculptures etched with inspirational quotes from veterans, first responders and frontline medical professionals. Designed and fabricated by Creative Machines, an internationally recognized studio known for interactive public art, it’s a space meant for reflection, gratitude and connection.

Another highlight is the Celestial Plaza, a captivating solar system display that blends art and science. Anchored by a brilliant sun dial with gyroscopic metal rings and multi-colored translucent inserts, the installation changes with the sun’s movement across the sky. Each planet is represented by its own art piece, placed to reflect the actual distances between planetary orbits. At night, the planets glow, creating a vivid, educational experience that invites visitors to consider Earth’s place in the solar system, galaxy and universe.

The ribbon cutting marked a significant milestone, offering project partners and team members the first chance to explore the completed park. Although the park is not yet open to the public, the event symbolizes a major step forward in creating new and meaningful experiences for the Tradition community.

We’re excited to officially welcome residents to Stars and Stripes Park very soon. Stay tuned for more details on the grand opening and upcoming community events.
