SPRING KICKED OFF AT TRADITION WITH MARCH EVENTS

Spring arrived in full force at Tradition, and March set the season off beautifully with a packed events calendar filled with live music, fantastic food, and many special moments for our community to come together.

Here’s a look at what kept residents and visitors busy all month long:

Neighborhood Farmer’s Market: Our beloved weekly staple welcomed the Port St. Lucie community to walk through Tradition Square every Sunday for delicious bites, fresh coffee, and a stroll past local vendors while spending time with neighbors, family and friends. If you missed it in March, there’s always next week! The market runs every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Food Trucks & Tributes: On the first Friday of the month, residents gathered for a spectacular evening under the stars as a U2 tribute band delivered a powerhouse performance. Between the live concert energy and a lineup of local food vendors, it was truly a night to remember.

IL Mercato’s Friday Night: The third Friday of the month brought IL Mercato’s Friday Night Market back with another great edition of this relaxed, family- and pet-friendly evening series. Guests enjoyed street food from trucks and pop-up vendors, themed DJ sets, artisan booths, and kid-friendly entertainment. (Pro tip: bring a lawn chair!)

6th Annual Burgers, Blues & Brews: Back by popular demand, this beloved event brought the community together in Tradition Square for an unforgettable afternoon. Amazing and unique burgers, delicious brews, and the nation’s #1 Blues Brothers tribute act made for a lively, flavor-packed celebration that’s become a true Tradition, tradition.

Sounds of the Heart (New Series!): We closed out the month on a high note with the launch of our brand-new series designed to bring residents and visitors together through live music and meaningful connection. The debut performance by Chris Springer on Monday, March 30 set a wonderful tone. Stay tuned for the next one!

March was just the beginning. Tradition is buzzing with exciting events all season long, and you won’t want to miss what’s ahead.

From Finish Lines to Forever: A Valentine’s Day to Remember at Tradition

Valentine’s Day at Tradition was about more than flowers and chocolates this year, it was about heart in every sense of the word.

Over the course of one memorable Saturday, the community came together for two very special events hosted by Mattamy Homes: the inaugural Heart and Sole 5K and the “Art of I do” community wedding and vow renewal ceremony. Together, the events showcased what makes Tradition more than a community, it is a place where meaningful moments happen.

Running for a Cause: Heart and Sole 5K

The day kicked off with the inaugural Heart and Sole 5K in honor of American Heart Month, bringing together runners, families, local partners, and supporters for a morning centered around health, awareness, and community spirit.

The race began and ended at Heart in the Park, the soaring sculpture designed by internationally acclaimed artist JEFRE, whose own experience surviving a heart attack in his 30s inspired the piece. The event welcomed nearly 500 runners and walkers, with many more friends, families and members of the community coming out to cheer them on and show support.

Participants laced up their sneakers not only to cross the finish line, but to make a difference. Proceeds from the event benefited the American Heart Association, helping to advance heart health initiatives and lifesaving research. Mattamy Homes matched all pledge donations, bringing the total contribution to more than $11,000. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in a heart-healthy pledge activity.

From the buzz of the starting line to the celebratory atmosphere at the finish, the event reflected the strong sense of connection that defines Tradition. After the race, participants enjoyed snacks, race swag and celebrated age-group award winners. The morning also featured music, food trucks and community vendors, including Air and Petals, Hustle 360, Treasure Coast Cross Fit, Island Pig and Fish, Letizia’s Creations,

Affogator Drip and Tradition’s T Club.

A Valentine’s Day “I do”

Later in the day, Mattamy Homes joined forces with St. Lucie County to celebrate couples that say “I do” during a community wedding and vow renewal ceremony.

Set against the backdrop of the world’s tallest heart sculpture, the ceremony transformed the space into a romantic setting filled with love, laughter, and happy tears. Surrounded by friends, family, and members of the community, the couple exchanged vows in a place that represents connection and shared experiences. Michelle R. Miller,
