Last month, we celebrated the highly anticipated debut of Tradition’s new centerpiece, “Heart in the Park” – our soaring, 73-foot sculpture (now the tallest heart sculpture in the world) designed by internationally acclaimed Filipino American artist JEFRË.

To reinforce our dedication to community and building with purpose, we partnered with the American Heart Association of Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast for the grand opening of Heart in the Park and The Shoppes at the Heart, a 71,000-square-foot commercial center adjacent to the sculpture. The American Heart Association and St. Lucie County Fire District provided a Hands-Only CPR experience for attendees and invited them to participate in a pledge activity that promotes the importance of heart health.

We promised we’d match all contributions to the American Heart Association at the event and it’s a promise we kept: we’re delighted to share we’ve donated an additional $3,000 to the organization as a result of The Heart in the Park’s grand opening!

“We’re grateful to our local chapter of the American Heart Association for spreading awareness of heart health and teaching our residents life-saving skills at Heart in the Park’s grand opening, tying in Tradition’s emphasis on wellness,” said Dan Grosswald, President of Mattamy’s Southeast Florida Division. “We’re equally thankful to our event attendees who donated to the American Heart Association so the organization can continue to educate communities and help save lives.”

Located at the intersection of Village Parkway and Discovery Way, Heart in the Park symbolizes love, connection and inclusivity, capturing the spirit of Tradition located within Port St. Lucie – the “heart” of the Treasure Coast. The sculpture is poised to become a landmark where people gather, reflect, and capture memories for generations to come, reminding us that home is truly where the heart is.

Heart in the Park is situated along Tradition Trail, commonly known as the T-Trail. In addition to vehicular parking and bicycle parking, a T.I.M. stop for Tradition’s shuttle system is being provided at Heart in the Park, along with public seating and gathering areas.
