Heart in the Park and The Shoppes at the Heart Celebrate Grand Opening at Tradition
On August 23, Mattamy Homes hosted the official grand opening of Heart in the Park—a dramatic 73-foot sculpture that now stands as the tallest heart sculpture in the world. Designed by internationally acclaimed artist JEFRË, the installation is a bold new centerpiece along the Tradition Trail and a meaningful place for residents and visitors to gather, reflect and connect.
The public event brought together residents, visitors, and community partners for a day of celebration, including live entertainment, giveaways, and interactive activities focused on wellness. In partnership with the American Heart Association and the St. Lucie County Fire District, guests participated in a hands-on CPR experience and heart-healthy pledge activity, reinforcing Tradition’s ongoing commitment to health and connection.
The celebration also marked the debut of The Shoppes at the Heart, a new 71,000-square-foot retail center adjacent to the sculpture. The plaza features a mix of dining, shopping, and service-oriented businesses including Aldi, Kyle G’s Amore Chop House, Port Tradition, Tomalty Dental, and Le Bistro de Paris—creating a walkable destination for everyday needs and special outings alike.
Located at Village Parkway and Discovery Way, Heart in the Park includes public seating, gathering spaces, bicycle and vehicle parking, and a stop along the T.I.M. community shuttle system.
As Tradition continues to grow, Heart in the Park joins a lineup of upcoming parks, trails and community spaces that reflect the spirit and lifestyle of the people who call it home.
