Southern Grove Amphitheater and Park

This proposed community area will be dedicated to concerts, festivals and live events to delight Tradition residents. Large open green spaces will surround an impressive amphitheater, providing year-round musical and entertainment opportunities.

Western Grove Tradition Regional Park

Western Grove Regional Park “WeGro” is a proposed park that will be dedicated to the active lifestyle hosting baseball and softball fields, soccer and open green fields, walking trails, part of the T-Trail system and a gathering place for all members of the community.

The HEART

will be done Fall, 2024!

We are dedicated to engaging our residents with meaningful public art, and we’re proud to announce our community’s new centerpiece — the HEART. This soaring, fanciful shape will stand 73 feet tall, with a reflective stainless steel surface capturing Florida’s beautiful skies by day — and dramatic illumination by night. Poised brilliantly upon a circular pedestal at the intersection of Discovery Way and Village Parkway, it’s sure to draw attention. Residents can even climb inside the installation and emerge onto a glass bridge connecting both sides of the HEART. This feature puts residents high above ground for far-reaching views, and is sure to inspire many sharable photographs, videos and memories here in Tradition. Now under construction in JEFRË’s Orlando studio, the HEART is (quite appropriately) scheduled for public dedication in Tradition Fall, 2024.

About JEFRË, creator of the HEART

JEFRË is a Filipino-American multimedia artist, born as Jefre Figueras Manuel, whose evocative large-scale works grace prominent public spaces around Orlando, Philadelphia, Manila and beyond. His innovative works have been recognized by numerous publications, societies and galleries and he recently concluded his first solo museum exhibition, “Points of Connection,” at the Orlando Museum of Art.

STARS and STRIPES

Tradition has proposed an ambitious new amenity within the community. Stars And Stripes Park will be an open-air destination for residents on foot, on bikes, in cars or using the free TIM shuttle service. The entire park is decorated with flowers and pathways, with open field and pond areas providing scenic views. One area is brightly decorated with a patriotic art installation featuring colors that gleam by day and shine from within by night. This is sure to be a prime spot for selfies, but the sobering messages written on the points of the glowing metal “stars” are something to read and reflect upon. A flower-lined walkway connects this area to the parking lot and through an interesting treeline of bamboo. Passing this, residents will emerge near a huge model of the solar system. This display consists of a huge, gyroscopic sun and the concentric orbits of each planet — from nearby Mercury to distant Pluto, with plaques for each. The sun, and each planet, will also be colorfully lit at night.

About Joe O’Connell, creator of Stars And Stripes Park

Joseph O’Connell of Tucson, Arizona originally founded Creative Machines in 1995 as a studio to support his creative practice. His award-winning artwork includes elaborate installations of shape, color, light and motion — including sculptures commissioned for special sites all around the world. He is assisted by his capable team with diverse backgrounds in art, architecture, engineering and custom fabrication.

The Town Center, located in Tradition Square, is the heart of Tradition. Here, the community comes together, gathering for fun events, live music, and more, for moments filled with the simple joy of being around friends and making lifelong memories.

The Town Center creates a natural community hub for residents to meet and socialize, where events like a weekly farmers market invite one and all to gather.

Workshops and classes, held in the Town Hall, introduce new hobbies and exciting activities to residents, where they can begin new traditions with neighbors, family, and friends.

An adjacent amphitheater brings an entertainment venue to Tradition for year-round community enjoyment of performances such as concerts, theater, dance, comedy, and more.

Schools

Everything in Tradition is a reflection of the people who will live here—and the things they value most. One of those values is a desire for a quality education for their children.

That’s the goal of the Renaissance Charter School at Tradition. Opened in August 2013, this facility is approximately 64,466 square feet and designed to meet the needs of K-8. Coming in the fall of 2021, Tradition can anticipate the grand opening of Tradition Prep High School, located on the campus of Renaissance Charter K-8 and will be accepting 9th and 10th grade students. You will also find Palm Pointe School at Tradition… For 1,600 students in grades K through 8, it serves as a developmental school, exploring the latest methods and classroom techniques while reflecting the needs and desires of a cross-section of families throughout the Treasure Coast region.
